We are excited to announce that PS17 is the recipient of the Disney Musicals in Schools grant! This special residency ends in students performing a song on Broadway! This video was created and presented to our 3rd graders during a special assembly.
PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. PBIS is a positive, proactive approach to dealing with behavior. Students are given a clear set of expectations based upon behavioral goals chosen by the staff and administration. Find out how PS17 is using the PBIS program. I am sure you have seen the RISE logo all around school this year and that is because this program is very important for our children at PS 17. Please encourage your children to do their best and earn the tickets thus reinforcing the hard work that is happening at the school both by the children and all the staff.
